Calm you can watch happening.

Loopsu guides your breathing at the one rate your body responds to most — measured, not assumed — and shows you your heart answering every breath, live. The ear-worn band turns that rhythm into something you can feel, so ten minutes of practice is a thing you do, not a screen you watch. One loop: breathe, see it, feel it.

When the two lines lock together, the score climbs. It's a training signal you steer in real time — and the fastest way to understand it is to watch it move.

For everyday stress, anxious days and short nights

About four in ten workers worldwide told Gallup they'd felt a lot of stress the day before they were asked. In Australia and New Zealand it's roughly half — the second-highest of the regions measured. If you're carrying it, you're the majority.

Loopsu is built for the everyday kind: the load, the wired evenings, the mind that won't put the day down. Sessions are made for the end of the day, when you actually need them — short, guided, and scored, so tonight's ten minutes has a shape you can see. If what you're carrying is heavier than that, see a doctor first; we'll still be here after.

Paced to you, not to an average

Somewhere between roughly four and seven breaths a minute, most people have a rate at which their heart rate swings hardest with the breath. It's a resonance in the ordinary physical sense — push at the right frequency and the same effort produces a bigger swing. Yours is not the same as anyone else's. Every breathing product you've tried so far almost certainly assumed a number. Loopsu measures yours, and paces you there.

Illustrative — the shape, not anyone's measurement. The app finds your rate rather than assuming it.

Then the loop closes around that rate. The strap reads the interval between one heartbeat and the next — the measurement all of this is built on. The app paces your breathing and scores, live, how strongly your heart is swinging with it: a signal you steer, climbing as you settle into the rate. And the band, worn at the ear, delivers a gentle pulse in time with the breath you're paced to — the rhythm on your skin, an anchor to breathe against, so the practice holds you even when your eyes wander.

Decades of research, doing the heavy lifting

The core of Loopsu is heart-rate-variability biofeedback: breathing at your resonance rate while watching your heart respond. It is the best-evidenced technique in this entire category. Meta-analyses pooling dozens of controlled trials associate it with lower self-reported stress, and the in-session heart-rate response — the thing you watch on screen — is its most consistently replicated effect. This isn't a practice we invented and hope works. It's a practice with forty years of published research behind it, and we built the instrument that makes it visible.

Around it sits a library of guided techniques — autogenic training, progressive muscle relaxation, focused attention and more — drawn from the same research tradition: practices studies keep associating with lower self-reported stress. All of them trainable. None of them magic.

And the ear? Stimulation there is one of the most actively researched areas in this field right now, with trials running at major institutions. We're watching that research closely — but the band doesn't ask you to take anyone's word for anything. Its job is the one you can feel: keeping you in the rhythm, session after session.

We say only what the research lets us

Every technique in the app has a claim ceiling, written into our specification before any copy gets written and set by what the published research on that technique actually supports. Where the evidence supports relaxation, we say relaxation — and stop. The app's own wording is checked against that table before it ships, and so is every sentence on this page. It makes for a shorter list of promises than you'll read elsewhere in this category. Every one of them is kept.
